Travel Iron  Smooth on the move

Travel Irons

Travel irons first appeared in 1911 when GEC in the states released the first iron specifically designed for traveling. But it was the 1950’s when travel irons first really began to expand into the general market they have become incredibly popular. Their appearance was timed perfectly with the rise in tourism as everyday people began to travel further on holidays.

Those early travel irons were pretty crude, the 1911 brute weighed in at a hefty 1.5 kilos. But luckily for us, things have really moved on since then.

When you unwrap your new travel iron you’re probably going to be very surprised how small and light modern travel irons are.

But, not as surprised as you’ll be when you feel how easily it glides over creases. You’re going to be amazed at how quickly scrunched up creased clothes can be transformed into crisp smooth, and “ready to wear” in minutes.

Modern travel irons are stylish, small and light and come with most of the features of a full sized modern iron including steam and duel voltage options so you can use your travel iron in most places around the world. (You will need a travel adaptor for your iron though, make you get the correct adapter for the country in which you’re going to travel. (Or do yourself a favour and get a multi travel adaptor so you can relax and know you can use your iron pretty much anywhere they have electricity).

I’ve included a number of direct links to the travel irons I recommend throughout this site, and I’ll also be adding a number of travel iron reviews as time goes on. In the meantime if your thinking of going away either on holiday or business and you want to avoid spending the trip looking like you were dragged though a hedge backwards then I’d recommend checking out the irons recommended on this site and buying the one that most suits your needs.

Whichever of the travel irons you decide to buy after having clicked on the links, you can rest assured, that you bought a great iron.

Which of the travel irons shown here will be best for you?

The final decision is yours and I can’t help wondering what will be the best thing about your new travel iron, will it be:

  • When you feel how light your new travel iron is? And you realise you won’t have to put up with choosing to look like a scruff, or cart that old iron around?
  • When you realise that your new small iron means you can take more clothes away, and also pack those items that normally crease so easily you can’t put them in the case.
  • When you see how great your clothes look and hear people asking jealously how you keep yourself looking so good? Let’s be honest we all like to look our best and it’s even better when other people are struggling to keep up.

Wherever you choose to go when you’ve bought your new travel iron, I hope you enjoy a crease free trip, and look back on buying it now as a real investment in your future happiness. Are you ready now?  Huge Range of travel irons click here
